The Civilian Conservation Corps CCC played an important part in restoring the village and other projects within the park, including the lake, shelters, roads and trails.

This bridge was built in 1885 and is a howe truss bridge.It is 176 feet long spanning Laughery Creek.It is within the state park, but is owned by Ripley County.

Sunset Versailles Lake. We took canoes up stream on a beautiful summer day and were rewarded with bald eagle sighting. We saw 3 eagles flying along the shore and perched in trees.
